Our client is a reputable construction and development firm specializing in the development of mid-rise complexes, apartment buildings, townhomes, and various land deals throughout Monmouth County, NJ. Our client's commitment to excellence and innovation has established their firm as a prominent player in the industry. We are looking for an eager individual who can contribute to their ongoing success


As Project Engineer, this individual will be supporting project execution from conception through completion. You will work closely with a team to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. This role involves handling various administrative and technical tasks related to project management, including managing submittals, RFPs, permits, and tracking subcontractor performance.



Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and management of submittals, ensuring all documentation meets project specifications and requirements.
  • Review and track requests for proposals (RFPs), coordinating with appropriate parties to ensure timely responses and accurate pricing.
  • Manage and track project permits, ensuring compliance with local regulations while facilitating the approval process.
  • Monitor and report on subcontractor performance, addressing any issues or delays in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and update project schedules, tracking progress and identifying potential risks or delays.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and records, ensuring all information is up-to-date and accessible.
  • Support the project team in budget management, including assisting in the development of cost estimates.
  • Assist in the resolution of project issues and conflicts, working closely with project managers to develop and implement solutions.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is preferred, also open to Construction Management and/or a related field of study.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in the civil engineering and/or construction industries is preferred.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred and/or on path to obtaining
  • Ability to read and comprehend civil site plans and specifications
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point) and other applicable software programs
  • Self-motivated and proactive, being able to complete duties without direct oversight
  • Strong communication skills
