DESCRIPTION:

Our client is a rapidly evolving organization with an exceptional reputation in the market. The company is poised for significant growth over the next several years and needs to expand its executive leadership team. The company has grown dramatically over the last several years and recently received a transformative private equity investment to support continued organic growth with new and existing customers amidst a backdrop of growing end market demand.

Primary responsibilities will include the planning, implementation, and day-to-day performance of finance and accounting activities including business planning, budgeting and forecasting, reporting, and negotiations with lenders and service providers. This position will help to drive financial strategy and planning for the organization and work closely with the CEO and COO, key operational leadership, lenders, private equity sponsors, and other external parties to accomplish growth objectives.


This role reports to the CEO of the company, the Board, and the private equity sponsors. This position will manage all aspects of financial management, including accounting, financial reporting, treasury, and investor relations. This role will work closely with people in all parts of the organization and will serve a vital and important part of the anticipated growth. The company is well backed financially by management owners and private equity sponsors and is looking for a CFO that can operate at both a tactical and strategic level in the business.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ability to quickly understand background of company business including identification of opportunities for projects to enable company to increase its business success
  • Oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, financial reporting, KPI tracking, budgeting and forecasting, working capital management, treasury management, and insurance programs
  • Provide strategic recommendations to the executive team and private equity sponsors based on financial analysis and projections. Utilize data analysis to develop conclusions and recommendations for growth, margin enhancement, and to unlock working capital efficiencies
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for private equity stakeholders, providing regular updates and reporting
  • Prepare and present financial and operational information for board meetings and investor presentations
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial statement and covenant compliance reporting to lenders
  • Coordinate with external CPA firms for all annual audit and tax work
  • Identify and mitigate financials risks, ensuring robust risk management practices are in place
  • Ability to lead and develop a financial team


REQUIREMENTS:

  • High level of integrity and ability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
  • Strategic mindset with ability to think about creating long-term enterprise value in the business
  • Demonstrate broad knowledge of the automotive industry – several segments of this industry will be considered, but experience in the automotive industry is strongly desired
  • Develop staff’s industry knowledge and expertise in the field and provide effective training
  • 4-year Accounting or Finance degree required
  • CPA desirable, not required
  • 10+ Years Accounting leadership experience
  • Multi-Bank Financing experience desirable as well as debt management experience
  • Proven managerial expertise and background, however client desires a candidate with a hands-on capability and attitude
  • Experience managing significant manufacturing/assembly inventory, including experience with product costing and product margin analysis
  • Prior success working in a private equity backed company is preferred
  • Proven written and verbal communication and presentation abilities for reporting to the Board, private equity sponsors, and lenders
