CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER | JOB OVERVIEW
SUMMARY
At Magnolia Personnel Group, the Chief Information Officer is tasked with overseeing the strategic direction and operational execution of the organization's IT framework. This role involves formulating and instituting IT policies and systems that align with the strategic initiatives established by the executive team. The CIO will also coordinate and lead the IT department, ensuring effective collaboration with various teams and departments within Magnolia. The primary technologies managed by the Chief Information Officer will include Azure, Google Suite, NetSuite, Salesforce, Shopify, as well as both Mac and Windows environments. This position reports directly to the Vice President of IT and Supply Chain and carries supervisory responsibilities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and nurture business relationships with organizational leadership to ensure alignment of IT resources.
- Establish and maintain cross-departmental relationships to prioritize IT support in line with organizational objectives.
- Translate business requirements into efficient and cost-effective IT solutions.
- Design, implement, and evaluate IT solutions that meet business needs.
- Source and procure technology solutions, equipment, and software in a cost-effective manner.
- Oversee the formulation of security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Assess and ensure adherence to federal technology security requirements.
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for team development and measurement.
- Manage relationships with various external vendors.
- Implement project management best practices for application lifecycle management using methodologies such as scrum, waterfall, and agile.
- Establish and execute business continuity plans to minimize operational disruptions during emergencies.
- Analyze and maintain IT infrastructure performance to evaluate operating costs, productivity, and upgrade needs.
- Perform additional duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred.
- 5+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
- 5+ years of managerial experience is preferred.
- Experience with middleware and software analytics, as well as managing an IT budget, is required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The role may involve operating in a dynamic environment, with occasional exposure to varying conditions. The noise level is typically moderate.
