The Assurance Compliance Manager will be performing duties and responsibilities directly related to the firm’s compliance with insurance carrier guidelines and its internal best practices regarding reporting and billing. Essential Job Functions:

  • Develop metrics and analytics for reporting internally and externally on compliance with insurance carrier guidelines, internal best practices and KPIs
  • Identify and implement enhancements to existing and new technology to track compliance with firm best practices, insurance carrier guidelines, and KPIs
  • Develop scorecard to demonstrate compliance with insurance carrier guidelines and KPIs
  • Coordinate and evaluate status of transitioning files with attorneys
  • Perform internal file audits to ensure adherence with carrier guidelines and internal best practices through review of electronic case files and case management platform
  • Perform external audits for clients upon request and facilitate, support, and measure the execution of corrective action plans
  • Assist in the development and enhancement of best practices with regard to billing, reporting, and interacting with clients
  • Prepare for and participate in claim file reviews with carriers and claims professionals
  • Plan and recommend to management opportunities and procedures to promote efficiency, effectiveness and top class service in alignment with the firm's core values and client expectations
  • Plan and advise management regarding training opportunities and tools to promote compliance with carrier guidelines and best practices
  • Analyze and develop responses to client issues and concerns regarding case handling guideline compliance
  • Additional duties as assigned


Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required. JD preferred
  • Prior claims handling with an insurance carrier or TPA
  • Proficiency with MS Office and strong Excel skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work under tight deadlines
  • Top-notch organizational skills for optimal workflow and efficiency
  • Ability to perform at high levels in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
  • Adaptable to changing priorities and work demands
  • Pro-active, follows through with minimum direction, and displays initiative
  • Exhibits a positive attitude and has confidence.
