We are seeking a dedicated Tax Quality Assurance Manager to support our esteemed National Tax Group. This role is pivotal in identifying and mitigating tax-related risks for our clients, ensuring compliance and strategic planning. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of tax regulations and be actively involved in both prospective and retrospective risk assessments.

This position will be integral to our National Tax practice, working closely with our largest clients. The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Tax Controversy and Risk, playing a key role in enhancing our tax risk mitigation strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting thorough reviews and analyses of tax returns to identify risk factors.
  • Researching intricate federal and state tax issues and preparing technical documentation.
  • Facilitating the tax compliance inspection process and preparing necessary documentation.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. CPA, EA, JD, or LLM credentials are preferred.
  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in tax compliance, accounting, or consulting.
  • Strong technical knowledge of tax regulations and concepts.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and various tax research tools.
