JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsible for continuing the growth and expansion of the FMS business in the AMER region. The overall goal for the Strategic Development Manager is to deliver specifically targeted, profitable, and sustainable growth for the business, with line accountability for sales. This must be achieved through driving the development and execution of the BU commercial strategy. The role will lead the direction and strategy of the product lines and assist the external sales representatives + execution to achieve long term sales strategies with this range of product / service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify market potential including new regional target areas, new market segments, establishes pricing and market strategies, estimates potential sales, introduce market, distribution/channel issues, and manages mature product through phase-out.
  • Defines promotional activities, publicizing the product through the press, sales force, and alternate distribution channels
  • Provides expertise in particular product area and develops strategies and applicable portions of the company business plan
  • Plans, organizes, and coordinates assigned programs to ensure accomplishment of financial/budgetary goals and optimum allocation of resources
  • Manages resources to execute assigned programs
  • Develop market and growth opportunities with PL extension. Offer insights and planning for acquisition opportunities that supply a foundation for same (e.g., Universal Parts).
  • Conducts pre-contract liaison with customer and may participate in negotiating with key customers regarding contract terms and conditions.
  • Coordinates details of strategy within the organization with a wide range of functions and individuals
  • Reviews potential changes in scope of contract and advises management and customer of potential impact changes
  • Coordinates product introduction and market exploitation with marketing and sales organizations to ensure maximum penetration of market segment.
  • Assists with preparation of long-term sales strategies and growth.
  • Align execution of strategies with the tools / systems provided by Enterprise Solutions (previous Dragonfly project).
  • Develop and lead teams appropriate to the new business development initiative.

  • Demonstrated results from independently driving and implementing transformation initiatives
  • Strategic mindset and result-oriented
