POSITION PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES:
The Director of Fintech Operations is responsible for the oversight, control, and implementation of the technical aspects of our third-party relationships while assisting in developing systems, processes, and procedures for the Bank to improve its speed to revenue. This position is expected to have an understanding of industry standards and transforms this into internal controls with monitoring tools, CRM enhancements or with specifications to business relationships. In addition, this position develops and maintains technical solutions to strengthen the communication process with our business relationships and improve the flow and tracking of materials, issues, and other items of interest. This position also has a liaison responsibility with other Bank departments, including, but not limited to Accounting and Core Systems. In this capacity the position coordinates the onboarding and reconciliation of the financial operations of our business relationships.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum of 10 years management experience required.
• Minimum of 10 years Fintech and/or payments experience required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and internet applications.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintain oversight and third-party relationships with various Tax Software Partners, Republic Payment Solutions (RPS) and Republic Credit Solutions (RCS) program managers that includes the development of detailed specifications, coordination of testing timelines and scope, and ensuring excellent communication and response to partner technical issues. Evaluate and improve the RPG oversight programs of all significant third-party programs including reporting and tracking of all issues.
• Develop and implement platform strategy using technology based solutions (such as AI). Surface or expand opportunities for material growth in the RPG business lines.
• Oversee Risk Management functions to include operational audits of participating third parties and the operational aspects of funds movement and third-party quality control.
• Act as subject matter expert between the business groups and technical functions for the CRMs, and third-party interface tools.
• Develop and enhance tools that can be used by third parties to improve the process for collateral submission, issue tracking and other items of importance between parties.
• Improve speed to revenue by enhancing technology to expedite the business relationship on-boarding process.
• Create internal and external standard requirements and aid in the implementation of all business rules.
• Provide oversight on the documentation process to make sure business requirements are sufficient for programming.
• Evaluate and improve the financial reconciliation process to eliminate accounting manual work and prepare RPG for future growth opportunities.
• Ensure technology resources are prioritized to prevent the over allocation of resources.
• With new programs or new features coordinate RPG third-party testing. Ensure adequate documentation of testing is retained and meets regulatory expectations and the needs of all project stakeholders.
• Coordinate TRS, RPS & RCS programs with third parties and key bank stakeholders, e.g., Accounting, Compliance and Legal.
• Keep abreast of industry and regulatory issues to determine effect on system processes, procedures, and policies.
• Analyze and streamline the daily processes and to gain efficiencies and automate any manual processes.
• Coordinate new programs or enhancements with the Core Bank if there are impacts to the core systems or operations.
• Know compliance responsibilities and particular requirements affecting your area of responsibility, incorporate these requirements into your business processes and procedures, perform ongoing monitoring and periodic self-assessments including reporting and corrective action as needed, and assure appropriate training to associates regarding these responsibilities and procedures.
• Model and foster behaviors that support the Bank's values and corporate culture creating an atmosphere of trust, cooperation, accountability, and dedication to the organization.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Bank's guidelines, policies and procedures and all applicable state and federal laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and the overall development of associates; coaching and mentoring while providing challenging opportunities to enhance career growth; planning, assigning, and directing work; setting expectations and appraising performance; recognizing and rewarding associates or recommending disciplinary action as appropriate; addressing complaints and resolving problems; and helping to build a positive team culture.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
• Occasional out-of-town travel may be required.
• Frequent on-site travel is required.
• Flexible work schedule that will include some evenings and weekends.
• Stay abreast of new developments, best practices, and statutory and regulatory changes.
