Key Responsibilities:

  • Deal Sourcing: Identify and evaluate new investment opportunities through various channels including networking market research industry events and inbound inquiries.
  • Initial Screening: Conduct preliminary assessments of potential investments including market analysis competitive landscape evaluation and financial performance review.
  • Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain financial models to assess the viability and potential returns of investment opportunities.
  • Due Diligence: Support the due diligence process by gathering and analyzing data on potential investments including financial statements market trends and management teams.
  • Market Research: Perform indepth research on industries market trends and emerging technologies to inform investment decisions.
  • Portfolio Monitoring: Track the performance of existing portfolio companies providing regular updates and insights to the investment team.
  • Report Preparation: Prepare detailed investment memos presentations and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams including legal finance and operations as well as external partners to facilitate the investment process.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with entrepreneurs industry experts and other stakeholders in the investment community.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Finance Economics Business or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g. CFA MBA) are a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of X years of experience in investment analysis venture capital private equity or a related field.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex data and financial statements.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the startup ecosystem emerging technologies and key industry trends.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate investment theses and recommendations.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial modeling and report preparation.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in financial modeling tools (e.g. Excel) and data analysis platforms. Experience with CRM systems is a plus.
  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative fastpaced environment.
