POSITION DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Under the general supervision of the Managing Director of Land Lease Services, the Land Lease Manager is primarily responsible for receiving and processing a wide variety of realty documents and transactions related to land lease.

The Land Lease Manager has additional responsibilities of creating and maintaining accurate physical and electronic lease files.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Prepare lease demands and provide ground rent balance to the public with interest. Conduct comprehensive title research and examine title chains using public and private databases. Review transfer and encumbrance documents for accuracy and compliance with Residential Leasing/BIA regulations and identify title defects. Request required documents to comply with Mission Hills policy and federal regulations. Responsible for creating, maintaining and updating accurate lease files. Calculate CPI increases, prepare and send notices to homeowners. Answer incoming phone calls, emails and assist the public with questions regarding lease property. Review membership applications and change requests for completeness and compliance with program/legal requirements. Approve member set-up and resignations. Perform required duties pertaining to A/R including posting of cash/check payments, assist with Member billing inquiries and follow up on aging receivables. Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Previous Residential Leasing/Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) experience preferred

Minimum of (3) years administrative experience in a high-paced office environment processing escrow, title, legal or real estate transactions.

Good understanding of residential real estate transactions such as transfer deeds, deeds of trust and subleases.

Attention to detail a must.

Ability to prioritize and multi-task under pressure.

Ability to type a minimum of 55 wpm.

Must be proficient in Office, Word, Access, Excel and Outlook.
