Position
Sales Representative

Summary
As a Sales Representatives for our food manufacturing/import company you will be responsible for driving sales growth building strong customer relationships and promoting our range of products to various clients including retailers distributors and food service businesses. Your passion for our products and Japanese food itself will play a crucial role in achieving sales targets and expanding our market presence. Also this position requires regular business travel within West Coast region to meet clients attend trade shows and explore new market opportunities.

Essential Duties
• Sales Strategy Development:
o Identify and target potential customers within the food sector.
o Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet company goals.
• Customer Relationship Management:
o Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
o Understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions to enhance satisfaction and
loyalty.
• Product Knowledge:
o Gain indepth knowledge of our product lines including ingredients benefits and
applications.
o Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to clients.
• Market Research:
o Monitor market trends competitor activities and consumer preferences.
o Provide feedback to management on market opportunities and challenges.
• Sales Reporting:
o Maintain accurate records of sales activities customer interactions and inventory levels.
o Prepare regular reports on sales performance and market trends.
• Collaboration:
o Work closely with marketing production and logistics teams to ensure alignment in
sales initiatives.
o Participate in trade shows industry events and networking opportunities.

Telecommuting may be considered if there is a valid reason such as a child's situation or a desire to concentrate on work upon application at least two days in advance.

Salary/Benefit

Health dental and eye insurance: 100% companypaid for the individual.
(For family members the company pays 80% for children only and plans to pay 80% for spouses in the future)
Number of annual holidays: 122 days in 2024 (including Saturdays and Sundays)
winter break as a company is from December 28 to January 5 this year
We operate in the same way as in Japan and we have more holidays than the average U.S. company.

Qualifications
• Education: Bachelors degree in related field preferred but can be flexible.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales in the food industry food service
restaurants or related sectors are preferred but no specific experience in sales or the food
sector is required; a passion for Japanese food and a willingness to learn are essential.

• Skills:
o Strong communication and interpersonal skills with proficiency in English.
o Candidates who speak Japanese and Chinese or Korean in addition to English will be
given preference.
o Proven ability to negotiate and close sales effectively.
o Excellent organizational and timemanagement skills.
o Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Travel:
This position requires regular business travel within West Coast region to meet clients attend trade shows and explore new market opportunities. Also there will be a new employee training held in Japan for the first year.
