Job Overview:

The Quality Control Coordinator will oversee quality assurance processes across preproduction production and postproduction stages. This role ensures that our products meet strict consistency and quality standards safeguarding our brand reputation and maintaining compliance with all safety regulations. You will play a critical role in qualitychecking a range of edible products including sprinkles glitters confectionery powders colored sugars and salts as well as reviewing printed labels for ingredient accuracy. Working closely with the Sr. Production Administrator you will help maintain the highest level of quality and safety for our products.

Duties:

  • PreProduction Quality Checks: Ensure that all printed labels meet ingredient and formulation standards coordinating closely with production to verify that labels align with product contents.
  • Production Monitoring: Oversee each production batch of edible products like sprinkles glitters and confectionery powders confirming they meet established quality benchmarks for consistency and safety.
  • PostProduction Assurance: Conduct final quality inspections on finished products verifying that they align with quality controls before reaching packaging and distribution stages.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Record and address any quality issues generating detailed reports and recommending improvements to prevent future inconsistencies.
  • FSQ Verification: Act as a secondary check in our Ingredient Food Safety & Quality (FSQ) processes verifying that all ingredients used align with our labeling and regulatory standards.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with production teams to enhance quality procedures streamline checks and optimize efficiency across the quality control process.
  • This position is essential to maintaining our reputation for excellence in quality and consistency across our product lines.

Pay: $21.00 $24.00 per hour

Schedule:
  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

RequirementsExperience:

Must be selfdirected with excellent time and project management skills.
  • Experience in Quality Control and Quality Assurance: Minimum 3 years in QC QA or related roles ideally with experience in managing quality checkpoints across preproduction production and post production in a food produce or consumer goods setting.
  • Industry Background: Familiarity with food safety standards (e.g. FSMA GMP HACCP) and a background in food grocery or similar industries is highly preferred.
  • Experience with edible goods or assemblyline production is advantageous.
  • DetailOriented with High Accuracy Standards: Exceptional attention to detail for reviewing labels product ingredients and final quality checks ensuring products consistently meet our strict quality controls.
  • Project Management Skills: Ability to manage multiple quality processes efficiently with strong organizational skills to handle documentation reporting and process improvements effectively.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of regulatory requirements relevant to food safety such as FDA and FSQ guidelines is a plus.
  • Analytical and ProblemSolving Skills: Skilled in identifying documenting and addressing quality issues with a proactive approach to troubleshooting and implementing corrective actions.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate findings clearly and work collaboratively with production and operations teams to maintain highquality standards across all product lines.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with quality control documentation software MS Office Suite and familiarity with industryspecific QC tools or systems.
