Responsibilities:
- Conduct quality control tests on raw materials and finished products maintaining detailed records.
- Maintain a clean organized lab environment.
- Prepare and produce samples for new product development using equipment like blending machines twin screw extrusion compounders and injection molders.
- Troubleshoot product development issues and resolve quality concerns.
- Provide input during meetings including communication safety and production discussions.
- Participate in lean manufacturing practices to improve efficiency and safety.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with crossfunctional teams.
- Adhere to ISO 9001 standards to ensure product consistency and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
- Perform color analysis and matching for plastic products ensuring alignment with client specifications.
- Prepare and test color samples by blending pigments and additives to achieve desired outcomes.
- Communicate with clients about color requirements and provide technical support.
- Follow ISO 13485 standards for quality management systems in the medical device industry.
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities: (Hiring Companies ATS Questions):
1. Do you have a Bachelors degree in Chemistry Material Science Plastics Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience)
2. Do you have a minimum of 3 years of polymer compounding experience.
