Court Name/Organization: North Carolina Western Federal Public Defender Overview of the Position: We are looking for a full-time, experienced Financial Administrator to be based out of our Charlotte, North Carolina office. The Financial Administrator provides assistance and advice to the Federal Public Defender and Administrative Officer in all financial and budget matters. This is a professional position responsible for the office’s day to day accounts payables operations and simple procurements. Specific duties include but are not limited to preparing and reviewing payments; ordering and maintaining supplies; maintaining a clear, concise record of all contracts and transactions; and ensuring the office is in compliance with all Judicial accounting, financial, and record keeping regulations. The Financial Administrator also assists the Administrative Officer in semiannual budget development and projection; internal control evaluations; budget reprogramming and maintenance; and acts as a liaison between the office and vendors.
