Financial Analyst Job Description

Snelling ProSearch is seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join their team. As a Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in providing accounting and operations support to optimize strategic planning and forecasting initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide informative financial reports and analysis through data collection, organization, and validation using spreadsheet and database software.
  • Review customer orders and circulate to appropriate departments for approvals.
  • Prepare estimates for project costs.
  • Maintain project progress reports.
  • Coordinate labor reporting.
  • Develop yearly budgets.
  • Prepare monthly financial profit and loss forecasts.
  • Identify and communicate material changes in trends or deviations from targets that require management attention.
  • Assist administration in the monthly and annual budget/forecasting process.
  • Develop and examine budgeting estimates for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with procedures and regulations.
  • Generate and summarize budgets and submit recommendations for approval or disapproval of funds requests.
  • Maintain expenditure controls.
  • Direct and own the preparation of regular and special budget reports.
  • Prepare and compile monthly and quarterly reports from department managers and general manager.
  • Prepare and conduct bi-weekly managers' meetings and semi-annual division employee meetings.
  • Prepare breakeven reports and other ad hoc reports as necessary.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration from a four-year college or university.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent mathematical proficiency.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Motivated, self-starter with a positive attitude.
