Role Summary:

The Quality Engineer is involved with the product quality review associated with the manufacturing process. Requires mastery of a body of theoretical knowledge. Requires developed and strong foundation of function skills and knowledge of relevant technologies.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Owns both quality assurance and quality control; Includes quality assurance of products, services, manufacturing processes; Includes conformance in manufacturing, new product introduction, incoming goods control, product inspection, witness points, etc.
  • Own the Problem-Solving Analysis for the main quality issues in the work cell
  • Develops new solutions under guidance and/or in a team setting or based upon precedents in the organizations
  • Works together with people from the business unit
  • Contacts are under guidance and/or geared towards specifying activities, planning of activities and giving explanations on technical issues
  • Develops new solutions under guidance and/or in a team setting or based upon precedents in the organizations
  • Works together with business leadership at SPB and EB level
  • Specifies needs, communicates about project approach and presents outcomes of research done
  • Delivers products as part of a team
  • Works on cross functional teams
  • Leads analytical and design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods
  • Communicates with direct team and supervisor
  • Presents to internal and external teams on metrics, project status, and research


Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Production Quality


ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT:

This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, nationals of the United States, asylees and refugees) due to access to export-controlled technology.

Must pass background and drug screens.
