We are seeking a skilled Construction Quality Assurance (QA) Representative to support our team at Logistics Management Institute, where we are dedicated to delivering innovative solutions and accelerating mission success.

Overview

This position will serve as a construction quality assurance (QA) representative responsible for supporting Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in the execution of construction projects along the United States borders. The ideal candidate must have experience in construction oversight, execution, controlling, and project closure. A background in construction management is a must. Communication skills, innovative solutions delivery, and creative problem-solving abilities are essential.

This is a full-time, temporary position lasting 12-18 months.

Work locations are based in the U.S. Border Patrol Rio Grande Valley Sector area of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintains surveillance over field engineering activities associated with military construction projects.
  • Provides guidance on safety and quality assurance and ensures compliance with safety regulations.
  • Reviews contractor's schedules, payment estimates, progress reports, and materials used.
  • Prepares daily activity reports, offers safety guidance, and ensures environmental compliance.
  • Supports outreach efforts, inspects work progress, and solves construction-related issues.
Requirements
  • 5 years of experience with specialized expertise in construction surveillance and monitoring.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and clear communication skills are required.
  • Ability to solve problems effectively and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time and be located in the Rio Grande Valley, TX area.

Applicants must pass a government background investigation, and U.S. citizenship is required for eligibility.
