Job Summary/Basic Functions
Aid and direct the campus community and visitors regarding parking services. Enforce University parking regulations, issuing citations as needed. Place signage, including reserved and temporary parking signs. Accurately register vehicles and issue parking permits as needed. Perform general office and other duties as assigned. Work with the Parking Services Coordinator and EagleOne and Parking Services Manager to monitor and record lot usages and inventories. Work with the Parking Services Coordinator to familiarize students on UMW policies/regulations concerning the operation of UMW/state owned vans. This will include behind the wheel familiarization.
Required Experience:
Some related job experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience, that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities for this position.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
The position requires operation of a state vehicle
Additional Considerations:

• Ability to analyze needs and implement solutions for various requests for reserved and temporary parking.
• Knowledge of, or the ability to obtain such knowledge of, University parking regulations and City of Fredericksburg parking ordinances.
• Ability to generate reports and monitor key performance indicators within the parking operation.
Experience
Some prior work experience in customer service or parking management, preferably in a higher education setting.
