The Lower 48 represents the largest ConocoPhillips business segment today based on production, with high-quality positions in the U.S. unconventionals. These durable, low cost of supply and low GHG-intensity assets have significant upside potential.

The company's large Lower 48 position represents scalable inventory with low cost of supply and low GHG emissions intensity with the potential to generate significant returns over many years of future development. Current major focus areas for the Lower 48 include the Delaware and Midland Basins, part of the world-class Permian Basin, as well as the Eagle Ford and Bakken.

In 2023, net production averaged 1,067 MBOED.
Job Description
Midland Basin Overview
ConocoPhillips holds approximately 372,000 total net acres in the Midland Basin, which includes approximately 248,000 unconventional net acres located in the heart of west Texas. The company operates over 2,800 producing wells across Midland, Upton, Andrews, Martin and Glasscock counties.

In 2023, the company operated five drilling rigs on average, including two electric rigs. Net production in 2023 averaged 182 MBOED and 106 operated wells were brought online.

Description
If you are selected as the Maintenance & Reliability Operations Engineer Analyst, you will be working within the Midland Basin (MB) asset. The position is in Midland, TX, with assets located in west Texas. The MB assets are comprised of tank batteries, water gathering systems, central processing facilities, and saltwater disposal facilities. The Maintenance & Reliability (M&R) team includes the Emissions team and together they monitor and maintain all surface facilities within the MB assets across their lifecycle. The M&R Analyst will support upgrades, maintenance, and decommissioning of existing facilities primarily through management of costs and documentation, along with supporting the Defect Elimination program.

Your responsibilities may include:
  • Initiate, facilitate, and close out work orders through M&R Panel (Ap based tool)
  • Track spend against budget, including value of work done and reconciliation of actuals to accruals
  • Manage, coordinate, and track flyovers for Emissions
  • Track, review, and audit invoices
  • Report costs into accounting, finance, and planning systems
  • Coordinate engineering documentation between the facilities engineering team, 3rd parties, and other ConocoPhillips groups
  • Ensure engineering work is completed, captured, and filed in the appropriate document management systems
  • Update SAP data for new projects and upgrades
  • Manage team data systems (shared drives, SharePoint, Teams, etc.)
  • Build, maintain, and optimize cost reporting processes and tools (e.g PowerBI dashboards)
  • Build, maintain, and optimize document management workflows in addition to the core responsibilities listed, the Analyst will have the opportunity to develop experience in data analytics, scheduling, defect elimination, and other elements of M&R, depending on interests, skills, and business needs.
  • Support M&R Supervisors as needed with administrative task, fleet management, and possibly touch in Asset Control as examples

Basic/Required:
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
  • 1+ years of experience in the onshore oil and gas industry
  • 3+ years of experience with cost tracking, reporting and analysis
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft O365 applications: Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams and Word

Preferred:
  • Associates/technical degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Data Management, other related technical field relevant to the oil and gas industry or foreign equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in the onshore oil and gas industry
  • 1+ years of experience with Generwell
  • 1+ years of experience with management of SharePoint libraries and workflows
  • 1+ years of experience with creation and management of data visualization tools such as PowerBI or Spotfire
  • Takes ownership of actions and follows through on commitments by holding others accountable and standing up for what is right
