DescriptionMinimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):4-year College Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience and educationMinimum of 5 years of related work experienceKnowledge of computer systems and spreadsheets necessary to perform job dutiesGeneral understanding of US GAAP and corporate consolidationsPreferred Qualifications:Minimum of 10 years of related work experienceKnowledge of Glovia/INFOR systems and overall systems understandingIFRS knowledge and experiencePosition Duties and Responsibilities:Description of Duties and ResponsibilitiesWeight of Importance %Preparing & reporting actual/budget/forecast financials20%Provide support related to Greenfield & Muncie financials15%Cost Accounting and product costing.15%Manage and support F&A associates15%Managing balance sheet accounts10%Monthly closing10%Records & documentation to support JSOX5%Support the Distribution Center5%Other duties as assigned5%Skills and Abilities:Proven ability to make sound business decisions, exercise good judgment, and be highly motivatedExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, high level of accuracyConfers with and prepares reports for upper management and possibly other Hitachi Astemo companiesDevelops and controls department or corporate budgets and approves expendituresMaintains clean and orderly work environment in accordance with 6SEnsures all local, state and federal laws and regulations are complied with in functional areaConducts performance evaluations for subordinate personnel and provides support / training as neededProvides strong leadership to subordinate personnelInteracts with various levels of associatesAnalyzes technology, resource needs, market demand, and confers with all departments to assess feasibility of projectsMaintain knowledge of all processes, procedures, and equipment within AccountingCoordinates and recommends cost savings and efficiency ideas for the facilityStrong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of organization neededSupervisory Responsibilities:Will superviseSoftware:Advanced experience with Excel preferredIntermediate experience with PowerPoint and GloviaEssential to Job Functions – Physical and/or Mental Restrictions:Ability to work for long periods of time while sittingVisual ability to work accurately with detailed information and a computer screenWork Environment – Travel, Noise, Smells, Quiet, Indoors, etc.Travel between sites.
