Position Overview:

Our client a professional living and working on Chicago’s North Shore seeks a detailoriented person with excellent organizational skills to create systems and maintain the smooth operation of her home communications schedule and extensive travel. This role may grow over time and will include a varied mix of professional and personal support responsibilities. The ideal candidate will see things that need to be accomplished and take the initiative to respond/resolve the issue. They will be resourceful and adaptable to changing needs with a great handle on the overall home and office management.

What You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Organization of space and home environment including purge of unneeded items and maintenance of healthy organized space.
  • Manage all vendors and oversee their work while onsite.
  • Maintain home maintenance schedule and ensure all maintenance is scheduled and completed.
  • Manage mail and send biweekly documents to the family office accounting team for recordkeeping and payment. Troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Assist in planning and scheduling travel and maintaining the calendar.
  • Ensure the home runs smoothly during periods of client travel including serving as emergency home contact.
  • Assist with project management for various households family and nonprofit events.
  • Maintain and support household communications with family friends etc.
  • Handle regular errands including grocery shopping household needs etc.
  • Hire/manage housekeeper and help to manage and communicate with other employees as needed.
  • Ensure household tidiness at all times with occasional meal prep support.
  • Manage routine needs including care for a small dog and watering plants.
  • Proficient with technology (Apple & Google).

What You Bring to the Role

  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Travel planning and logistics experience.
  • Knowledge of home maintenance needs and ability to direct vendors and staff.
  • Proficient with Apple and Google professional and home office technology.
  • Project management and events planning experience.
  • Able to take direction at times but also identify and accomplish projects independently.

Compensation Benefits and Job Structure

The role will be at least 20 hours per week and may grow up to fulltime based on fit and needs. Hourly pay $3540/hr. Potential benefits to be discussed based on candidate needs. Flexible hours but typically during the standard work day. Will need to be onsite 45 days per week for some period of time.
