Summary :

The Industrial Automation market is undergoing a major transformation to reduce complexity, increase competitiveness, update the underlying technology, and address technical debts.

To facilitate this transformation a new Software Defined Automation (SDA) Vision for Industrial Automation has been launched, with specific implications to the Process Automation/Foxboro DCS markets. This role is to accelerate adoption and transition of traditional DCS solutions and new markets to SDA/EAE based solutions, ensuring we achieve our overall SDA/EAE business objectives.

As an Offer Manager, the successful candidate will work closely with Schneider Electric's commercial and technical teams to execute assigned initiatives and drive customer value, improve offer positioning, increase market share, and implement programs that are delivering accelerated sales growth.

The successful candidate must have the ability to grasp technology bricks and features of the offer, understand the underlying building blocks and work intensely with Technology Integration, R&D, Delivery, Tendering, Incubator, I&T, IA LoB, Segments, and other Schneider Electric teams on driving the adoption of these technologies further. He/she will determine unmet market needs, especially around industry specific applications that can differentiate and accelerate growth around SDA/EAE offers, and define and develop strategic needs including new offers, architecture, and software applications, while supporting the achievement of business objectives through the appropriate sales channels.

What will you do?
  • Support the expansion in New Segments with differentiated offers to internal and external stakeholders
  • Advocate, inspire & promote PA integrated platforms internally and externally.
  • Jointly with Sales Enablement, undertake competitive analysis related to messaging and positioning
  • External content generation including Future Offers presentations, blog posts, whitepapers, webinars, case studies, podcasts, press releases and social posts
  • Support internal content generation, including sales briefs and ROI value calculators.
  • Regularly interact with executives and/or major customers to shape minds around Schneider Electric's position and differentiation. Frequent external interactions involve special skills, such as thought leadership discussion with clients, speaking engagements and influence customers senior level leaders regarding matters of significance to PA in the targeted segment/subsegments.
  • Jointly with Offer Marketing, ensure one holistic expression to market at every touchpoint of the customer journey.
  • Provide input and support for planning and executing customer events and marketing activities.
  • When assigned, collaborate with AVEVA and other Schneider Business units in transversal activities.
  • Work with Offer Managers for win / loss analysis, competitive analysis, and distinctive competence
  • Positions and differentiates product in the marketplace
  • Determine demand and needs for PA portfolio through various means such as voice of customer sessions as well as internal discovery with sales and delivery teams.
  • Assists sales teams throughout the sales cycle with strategy, tactics, and scope of pursuits.
  • Use in-depth product and industry knowledge to provide sales presentations, product demonstrations, and hands on training to both internal and external audiences.
  • Assist with enhancing relationship through indirect channels such as international industry committees, conferences, and workgroups
  • Determine Market Problems and unmet customer needs
  • Ensures that customer needs are clearly understood and translated into product requirements.
  • Review and approve Product Roadmap strategy, direction, and presentation.
  • Support technology assessment and roadmap prioritization
  • Perform leadership and management functions necessary to direct the activities of the group including annual planning and Sales/TSC updates.
  • Support development of business case for strategic initiative and drive implementation of selected strategies
  • Support channel training events such as GSKO
  • Define requirements for effective and successful product launches
  • Support marketing launch campaigns and marketing development activities
  • Participate in quarterly management reviews

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
  • Knowledge, understanding and awareness of market and industry segment trends that drive emergence of next-gen process automation technology: OPAF, IT/OT convergence, digitalization, standards, policy/regulatory, etc.
  • Analytical thinking, strong capability of project management and problem-solving skills, sound judgment and a willingness to resolve issues and problems in a timely manner.
  • Effective communication across large groups of internal and external stakeholders at varying levels of the organization and across different global geographies.
  • Continual oversight of sales pursuits, with many pursuits overlapping at any given time. Effective time management, process management, and self-management required for successful execution, combined with the ability to manage stakeholders and progress pursuit/business objectives.
  • Ability to work in dynamic global, matrix environment and manage through influence.
  • Proven ability to develop rapport and credibility across the organization, promote ideas and proposals persuasively.
  • Strong understanding of client value drivers to develop and advise sales strategies throughout the sales process.
