Position Overview:

The role involves various responsibilities related to the procurement and assembly of testing equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement: Manage requests for quotations on parts and equipment necessary for the fabrication of testing devices.
  • Purchasing: Acquire items essential for the prototyping and duplication of testing equipment.
  • Logistics Coordination: Ensure the value of purchased items is accurately transferred to the appropriate facility upon shipment.
  • Prototype Development: Construct testers based on schematic drafts and collaborate with documentation controllers for the release of necessary documentation.
  • Bill of Materials Creation: Develop comprehensive bills of materials for testing equipment.
  • Tester Construction: Assemble testers under the guidance of a Test Engineer and propose design enhancements for future builds.
  • Documentation: Prepare all necessary paperwork for the release of testers to manufacturing.
  • Procedure Development: Create test procedures, preventative maintenance protocols, and calibration guidelines.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Conduct preventative maintenance and coordinate the calibration of testing equipment.
  • Computer Systems Management: Build and maintain computer systems integrated within testers.
  • Shipping Coordination: Identify and acquire necessary crates, package fixtures for shipment, and generate packing lists.
  • ECO Management: Implement Engineering Change Orders (ECO) for equipment in the lab and document changes as required.
  • Cable Management: Build and maintain cable sets for both new and legacy products.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in assembly processes.
  • Proficient in using assembly tools, including power tools and mechanical machinery.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams.
  • Experience in fabricating production equipment.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with spreadsheets and databases.
