Job Title/High Level Position Summary:

As a Precision Operator at ENOVIS Surgical you will perform various activities to manufacture orthopedic products. These activities include, but are not limited to, machine operation and precision assembly skills, to produce tight tolerance components in a medical device manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilizes various hand tools, measuring devices and small machinery for profiling, measuring, calibrating, masking, coating, cleaning, and inspecting product. Works from written work instructions, blueprints, specifications, and engineering drawings.

  • Application of abrasive finish to machined and forged components.

  • Application of masking tapes and fixturing to forgings and machined components.

  • Checks and inspects work with precision instruments.

  • Actively participates in continuous improvement efforts.

  • Promptly and accurately completes all required recordkeeping.

  • Keeps surrounding area clean, safe, and organized.

  • Assignments are moderately difficult, and may require some judgment in resolving issues, or in making recommendations.

Minimum Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational training

  • 1+ years of working in a manufacturing environment

  • Basic understanding of problem-solving tools such as fishbone diagrams and 5-Whys

Desired Characteristics:

  • Attention to detail and strong quality control skills.

  • Lean manufacturing experience

  • Experience in medical device manufacturing, or an ISO manufacturing environment

Physical Requirements:

  • Sit/stand for long periods of time

  • Lift/carry/pull up to 50 pounds

  • Ability to carry, grip, and maneuver small items with hands/fingers for long periods of time
