Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer with expertise in Metrology and Precision Measurement to join our team at Applied Materials. The successful candidate will be responsible for utilizing Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) programming capabilities to validate incoming supplier material, designing and implementing methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating product precision and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develops and implements quality standards in accordance with company and customer requirements.
  • Analyzes operational data to identify areas for improvement and develops recommendations for process optimization.
  • Evaluates work methods, procedures, and policies to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related issues and implement corrective actions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.
  • 4-7 years of experience in quality engineering, metrology, or a related field.
  • Detailed knowledge of ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
  • Experience with CMM programming and inspection techniques.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of precision machining, secondary processes, coatings, and platings.
  • Experience with automated optical inspection (AOI) systems.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific software and tools.
Salary Range:$96,000.00 - $132,000.00

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
