Quality Assurance Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team at Applied Materials. As a key member of our quality assurance department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the precision and accuracy of our products.
Job Responsibilities:
- Validate incoming supplier material using Coordinate Measuring Machine programming capabilities to ensure compliance with part print specifications.
- Design and implement inspection, testing, and evaluation methods for precision and accuracy of products and/or production equipment.
- Develop methods and parameters, project methodology, and project proposals.
- Prepare documentation for inspection/testing procedures and recommend corrective action for procedural, product, or process deficiencies.
- Apply quality standards in accordance with company and customer requirements and develop related tests.
- Analyze operational data, develop recommendations, and participate in internal and supplier audits.
- Evaluate work methods, procedures, and policies, track qualification status, review reliability test results, and determine disposition of non-compliant products.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Detailed knowledge of ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing for dimensional metrology inspections.
- Expertise using Hand Tools for Metrology – Surface Plates, Pin Gages, Calipers, Micrometers, etc.
- Experience on Zeiss CMM Calypso Programming.
- Experience on Mitutoyo Automated Optical Inspection (optional).
- Knowledge of Precision Machining, Secondary Processes, Coatings, Platings, etc. – desirable (optional).

- Demonstrates conceptual and practical expertise in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines.
Leadership & Problem Solving:
- Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on analysis of multiple sources of information.
Compensation:
The salary offered for this role is estimated to be between $120,000 and $180,000 per year, depending on factors such as location, experience, and qualifications. Please note that this estimate may vary based on specific circumstances.
