Vendor Management System Analysy

BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Vendor Management System Analyst for a remote opportunity.

Position Title: Vendor Management System Analyst

Location: Remote
Anticipated Start Date: 11/5/2024

Expected Duration: 6- months

Job Type: Contract
Pay Range: $35/hr. - $40/hr.

Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).
Responsibilities

Our client, a globally recognized food brand, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Vendor Management System (VMS) Analyst to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation and optimization of our Vendor Management System (VMS). You will be responsible for supporting the system's functionality, analyzing data, and collaborating with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

System Administration:

  • Manage and maintain the VMS, including user access, data integrity, and system updates.
  • Troubleshoot system issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions.
  • Develop and implement system enhancements to improve efficiency and user experience.

Data Analysis:

  • Analyze VMS data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
  • Generate reports and dashboards to provide insights into vendor performance, spend, and compliance.
  • Develop and implement data-driven strategies to optimize vendor management processes.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including procurement, finance, and legal, to ensure alignment with VMS objectives.
  • Provide training and support to users on VMS functionality and best practices.
  • Facilitate communication and knowledge sharing between stakeholders and vendors.

    Process Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate vendor management processes.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies in vendor management.

    Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience working with Vendor Management Systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

    Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Fieldglass, Beeline, VNDLY or other leading VMS platforms.
  • Knowledge of MSP program management and vendor management best practices.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
