Job Summary

A Document Control Lead will support the Capital Projects team. This role will work in a multidisciplinary team to deliver Client's patented methane pyrolysis technology at a commercial scale with billion-dollar-sized facilities. In this role, you will establish a document control process and leverage your experience and critical thinking to ensure the engineering documentation process is effective to meet the project team's timeline and budget.

You will work with a proven, cross-functional team that has successfully scaled up and deployed the next generation of clean hydrogen and carbon black technology. You will be provided with exciting challenges to manage and solve while working with some of the best in the industry. This will give you opportunities to learn, grow, and demonstrate your technical and project management skills to help Client build out a facility that has a real, tangible impact on reducing carbon emissions.

You will

  • Develop and implement configuration management principles, processes and training to ensure all project-related information is effectively stored and controlled throughout the project lifecycle
  • Lead the configuration and data management scope by working with the engineering team to define and establish processes and procedures to ensure comments are captured, timelines are met, and documents are transmitted, received, and acknowledged between the Client and the EPC contractor for a large capital construction project (>$1B)
  • Support the Capital Project engineering teams by ensuring complete traceability of changes through a documented change management process
  • Operate as the Capital Project team's central point of contact for all document control issues, and create training materials for all document control workflows
  • Work with multiple contractors, project team members and other stakeholders with the control, distribution, maintenance and retrieval of project-related documents
  • Organize and manage internal documentation structures (Procore, Airtable, SharePoint, Bluebeam etc.)
  • Adhere to the Client's document naming/numbering standards
  • Issue transmittals to clients and vendors; receive transmittals from internal stakeholders
  • Segregation of documentation for government loans and private equity investors
  • Review configuration management issues, drive resolution, and implement any required changes to the process
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Work Environment

The majority of the tasks involved with this position are performed in an open office environment in Overland Park, KS.

Travel

Minimal travel required to the EPC's KC office for meetings.

Essential skills and knowledge

You have

  • Minimum 10 years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the job duties and responsibilities
  • A certification as document management specialist
  • Advanced knowledge of document control procedures, and digital record retention systems and databases with strong and accurate data entry skills related to technical and engineering data
  • Previous experience working as owner representative managing engineering contractors.
  • Previous experience utilizing and managing databases or electronic document management software with technical and engineering data
  • Proficiency in SharePoint and Procore; familiar with InEight
