Join us in shaping a future of equity and opportunity for youth within the Oregon Youth Authority (OYA) as a Youth Reformation Systems (YRS) Operations Analyst. In this vital role, you will spearhead project and change management initiatives for the Youth Reformation System (YRS) team, aligning our efforts with a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). Your responsibilities will encompass crafting project visions, strategic plans, and charters, ensuring alignment with best practices and agency objectives. Collaboration lies at the heart of your work, as you lead and mentor YRS Implementation Specialists and project teams, fostering an inclusive environment where diverse perspectives are valued and integrated. Additionally, you will drive systems and organizational improvements, provide policy analysis and advice, conduct operational research and evaluation, and manage projects with finesse, all while championing equitable outcomes for youth and staff. A day in the life:

  • Improve placement, processes, and services to youth by operationalizing data and research to OYA, county juvenile departments, contracted providers, and other stakeholders;
  • Develop, plan, manage, and monitor projects, outlining the project scope, charters, impacts, change management and implementation strategies, communication plan, training needs and supporting documents for assigned projects that impact multiple stakeholders with competing priorities;
  • Assemble and direct project teams, facilitate meetings and trainings, create and maintain project timelines, assess resource needs, document decisions, communicate project updates, and identify risks and constraints;
