OYA is hiring a full-time Chief Information Officer (CIO). This position provides leadership and oversight of the agency’s technical systems and infrastructure consisting of 40 staff while directly managing 7 staff.
In both the agency technical systems and infrastructure, this position serves as the primary communication link between OYA and external groups including, but not limited to, juvenile department directors, State of Oregon Enterprise Information Systems, government advisory groups, the Legislature, private sector, political subdivisions, agency heads, and task force groups.
The Chief Information Officer is a member of the OYA Agency Leadership Team and participates in overall agency strategic planning, goal setting, policy development, and organizational program management. This position also represents the agency in statewide Information Technology policy and governance including membership on the State’s Chief Information Officer Council. Additionally, this position is responsible for leading organizational change within IT and across the agency.
Our next CIO must have a strong competency in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). They will lead by increasing workforce diversity, identifying and eliminating systemic barriers, and reaching into communities of color to enhance our procurement and contract resources. They will be a part of the OYA Joint Management Team that promotes equitable experiences and develops a culture of inclusivity and belonging that embraces the contributions of all team members, youth, and stakeholders. They will be an active contributor in building an inclusive workplace that fosters the development of people and actualizing the agency’s vision that youth who leave OYA go on to lead productive crime-free lives.
