Description

Hennepin County's Economic Supports area is seeking a Principal Planning Analyst to join their team to lead business analysis and planning functions at the service-area level and work on key components of the department level. This position will be responsible for participating in the development of digital customer experiences based on the digital strategy and assist with the coordination and alignment of digital solutions.

Location and hours:

This position is hybrid and will be performed both on-site at various Hennepin County locations and with providers and remote as job duties require. Work hours are Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. No weekend, overnight or holiday shifts are required. While this position is designated as hybrid, based on current requirements hires must reside in or relocate to Minnesota or Wisconsin.

New employees who are hired into remote or hybrid positions between January 2, 2022 to December 31, 2024, will receive $500  toward the cost of establishing consistent internet connectivity, payable upon completion of 6 months of employment.

In this position, you will: Conduct, coordinate, or participate in the development and validation of multi-channel business, functional, and/or technical requirements, designs, and solutions to support end-to-end customer experiences, optimize operations, and satisfy various business standards/regulations.  Assist with research and analysis of interactions to identify and define improvement opportunities for customer and employee experiences and operations through various systems and digital interfaces/applications  Lead or assist with creating and maintaining artifacts for digital solutions, processes, and continuous improvement efforts including business cases, modeling, workflows, procedures, impact analysis, and gap analysis Support adoption of digital solutions and operational processes by end-users (employees and customers) as they are implemented Assist with the coordination and alignment of digital solutions with other channels to ensure an efficient and effective resident experience Assist with preparation and facilitation of meetings, trainings, working and research sessions, and presentations  Need to have: One of the following:Bachelor's degree or higher in any field and a minimum of two courses in research methods, analysis, statistics, project management, planning or evaluation and four years or more of relevant planning analyst and/or project management experience.Bachelor's degree or higher in data analytics, business analytics, business administration, public administration, research/evaluation methods, statistics, behavioral/social science, public health, computer science/MIS, management science, urban/city planning, or a related field and three years or more of relevant planning analyst and/or project management experience.Master's degree or higher in one of the fields listed above  and  two years or more of relevant planning analyst and/or project management experience.Ph.D. degree in one of the fields listed above. Nice to have: Experience:Developing, implementing, or usingtools and systems used to support digital. experiences in large customer service environments.With operations in a human service environment.Preparing and presenting reports in a variety of formats.Utilizing Excel, Teams, Power Bi, PowerPoint and SharePoint for effective virtual presentations. Knowledge of:Digital service options and overall business supports needed to support digital options.Processes and business analysis disciplines.Principles of planning and program evaluation/performance measurement. Ability to:Organize and plan work effectively.Manage and coordinate multiple complex activities.Assess business needs and promote teamwork.Develop and maintain effective working relationships within and outside the organization.Develop and implement procedures and processes for digital experiences.
