The Team:

SRE team members work together with the Business, RSO, Developers and Product team members to enhance the stability of our Pega based workflow applications. Although we do not develop code, we have the ability to look at the existing code, replicate issues in lower environment and provide workarounds to users and reproducible steps to scrum teams in order to provide production solutions for permanent fixes. Our SRE team stives to become full stack engineers to better support our user base.

Responsibilities and Impact:

  • Confer with systems analysts, engineers, programmers, and others to design systems and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces.
  • Coordinate installation of software system.
  • Develop or direct software system testing or validation procedures, programming, or documentation.
  • Modify existing software to correct errors, adapt it to new hardware (Caas, Faas) platforms, or upgrade interfaces and improve performance.
  • Store, retrieve, and manipulate data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements.
  • Supervise the work of colleagues, technologists and technicians and other scientific personnel.

Compensation/Benefits Information:

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $98,000 to $145,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.

What We're Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 8 Years of Pega experience though version 8.X
  • Work with Pega tools such as Clipboard, Tracer, SMA, PLA, and PAL.
  • Understand Pega administration with WebSphere Application server.
  • Design and execute SQL scripts for backend data fixes.
  • Splunk Monitoring
  • Effective Communications - Interact with business analysts and business team members to solve application issues. Serve as point of escalation within team to troubleshoot issues.
  • Collaboration – Ability to monitor, track, present and direct various team members as required for SRE related internal projects.
  • Awareness – Know when to escalate issues that may impact billable products through incident tickets or monitoring tools

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Pega versions 7.X and 8.X
  • Basic Java knowledge
  • SQL Scripting
  • Cloud Platform utilizing Containers Caas / Faas
