We are looking for a proactive, highly motivated, and technically savvy Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting to join our growing accounting organization Reporting directly to the Senior Director, Revenue Accounting, the Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting will own the critical and highly visible accounting processes around Revenue and will deliver accurate financial results in a high-growth, fast-paced environment, and will play a tactical role in scaling the Revenue accounting function and helping build a world class organization.

You will join a dynamic and highly collaborative accounting organization and play a critical role in overseeing the Revenue accounting function, strategizing and implementing process improvements, and scaling the revenue accounting close process. You will provide leadership and develop direct reports and will regularly work cross functionally with other Fastly teams, such as Billing, Collections, Commissions, Financial Systems, and FP&A.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead our monthly, quarterly and annual revenue accounting close process, and manage day-to-day revenue accounting operations
  • Ensure compliance with revenue accounting policies, procedures and SOX controls through detailed review of journal entries, account reconciliations, key controls and flux analysis
  • Work cross functionally with other Fastly teams such as Commissions team, FP&A and SEC reporting to ensure timely and accurate reporting
  • Play a key role in our quarterly and annual review and audit process, including managing key deliverables to internal and external auditors
  • Research on unusual/complex revenue transactions for appropriate revenue accounting treatment and document key revenue conclusions in a memo in compliance with ASC 606
  • Assess potential business changes for impact and compliance objectives for SOX related to your areas of responsibility, as well as updating documentation including process flowcharts, risk and control matrix and evaluation controls as new systems are developed and/or processes changes
  • Assess new product offerings for technical revenue considerations
  • Key participants in the OTC transformation project and drive process improvements to month end close process and other accounting processes
  • Lead/support ad hoc projects

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in management leadership role at a publicly traded company
  • Extensive knowledge of ASC 606 revenue accounting guidance.
  • CPA is a must
  • Big 4 experience preferred
  • Ability to think strategically, build cross-functional relationships, deadline driven, and take initiative to drive results

We'll be super impressed if you have experience in any of these:

  • Experience with NetSuite ARM is preferred.
  • Salesforce, and G-Suite a plus
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Passionate about process improvements

Fastly currently embraces a largely hybrid model for most roles which allows employees flexibility to split their time between the office and home.

Salary:

The estimated salary range for this position is $143,860 to $179,820.

Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and location.

This role may be eligible to participate in Fastly's equity and discretionary bonus programs.
