Job Overview: We are looking for an Assistant Controller to join our Accounting team located in Radnor, PA. Under the direction of the Corporate Controller, the Assistant Controller will be responsible for all activities of the Corporate Accounting Department, including general & revenue accounting, accounts payable, and inventory accounting. As part of these responsibilities, the Assistant Controller will evaluate and recommend appropriate improvements to the Company's accounting and financial reporting processes, ensuring that practices and controls are functioning as intended and are in line with the overall goals of the organization.



Responsibilities
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing and financial reporting processes in a timely fashion to meet assigned deadlines.
  • Ensure that all general ledger balance sheet accounts are reconciled monthly and advise the Corporate Controller of any potential exposures in a timely manner.
  • Oversees the activities of the Corporate Accounting Department to ensure the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports.
  • Provides oversight and coordination of statutory filings.
  • Develop and maintain standard accounting policies and procedures for the company and monitor compliance.
  • Coordinate periodic audits by external organizations.
  • Review new/updated accounting guidelines and literature to ensure the Company's compliance with US GAAP and to advise senior management of potential impact of new accounting rules and regulations.
  • Review unusual and non-recurring business transactions to confirm proper accounting treatment and advise senior management accordingly.
  • Supervise, train and mentor the corporate accounting staff.
  • Committed to continual process improvement and best in class performance.
  • Primary contact for ad hoc analyses, including those projects and requests from external stakeholders, Chief Financial Officer, Corporate Controller, and other internal customers.
  • Act as a resource for users of financial data.


Qualifications
  • B.A. or B.S. in accounting, finance or associated discipline, MBA or Master's degree is a plus.
  • CPA is required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of financial business experience.
  • Mix of public accounting and private industry experience.
  • Staff management experience.
  • Manufacturing experience required.
  • International experience is a plus.
  • Experience with consolidations and foreign currency transactions/translations.
  • Demonstrated to be a critical thinker in previous assignments.
  • Demonstrated strategic and analytical acumen in previous positions.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with ERP systems, specifically SAP and OneStream tools, are a plus.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
