Memphis, Tennessee, United States St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (St. Jude) Full time

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital invites applications for a research faculty position at the assistant/associate member rank (equivalent to assistant or associate professor) to join the newly established Center of Excellence in Neuro-Oncology Sciences (CENOS). CENOS aims to address foundational biological questions and drive clinically impactful discoveries to advance knowledge and enhance survival outcomes for children with malignant brain tumors.

Successful applicants will join a cohort of research groups led by established investigators who study childhood brain tumors from complementary angles.

We are seeking an investigator to lead a multidisciplinary research program focused on advancing our understanding of the developmental and tumor biology of malignant childhood brain tumors through application of innovative technologies and/or data science. Key areas of interest include development of human stem cell and organoid models to study mechanisms of tumorigenesis, leveraging 2nd and 3rd generation multi-omics to characterize the tumor microenvironment and discover resistance mechanisms, deployment of cancer neuroscience strategies to study communication networks that promote and maintain malignancy, evaluating novel selective dependencies and resolving the mechanisms governing dependency, and application of machine learning, artificial intelligence, and other advanced data science strategies to enhance diagnostics and treatments for malignant childhood brain tumors. Early career investigators interested in contributing to a culture of excellence at St. Jude are encouraged to apply.
