PrideStaff is recruiting for a Tax Preparer Specialist for an accounting firm located in Asheville.

Duties and Responsibilities:Informing clients or employers on the tax preparation processCollecting relevant financial records, including pay stubs and income statementsInputting data from financial records into tax return software or databasesUsing applicable federal, state and local tax law to determine deductions and how much each client will pay or earn on the returnCompleting and filing tax documents with appropriate agencies, like the IRS, state and local government entitiesActing as a representative for clients with applicable agencies as requiredBuilding customer relationships to promote and expand the businessQualifications and Requirements:Minimum of two (2) years' experience as a tax preparerIn-depth knowledge of applicable tax laws, regulations and deadlinesProficiency with common tax preparation, word processing and spreadsheet software applicationsFamiliarity with the tax return submission and confirmation process, including how to navigate the IRS and other government entity online platformsExcellent customer service skills, including patience and flexibilityGreat organizational skills, including time management and strategic thinkingStrong written and verbal communication skillsKeen attention to detailHours of Work: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
