Responsibilities / Qualifications


Drees Homes is looking for a creative and adaptable professional to play a key role in delivering on Drees' mission of creating a growth culture that empowers employees to innovate, continuously grow and improve.


The HR Training & Development Manager is responsible for creating and maintaining development programs, as well as providing coaching and guidance to employees.


Qualified candidates will have :

  • Experience in designing and delivering training programs for all levels of employees
  • A proven track record of delivering innovative programs focused on performance management, succession planning, and customer satisfaction
  • Passion for defining programs focused on accelerating employee and organizational performance
  • Possesses a strong business acumen and has experience in human resources initiatives such as diversity & inclusion, employee development, succession, and performance management

Duties and Responsibilities Include :

  • Create, implement and administer training programs and development of career growth plans
  • Assess organizational training needs and develop strategy to address needs
  • Develop and maintain materials and programs covering topics including : Drees LEAN, Customer Satisfaction, Management Development, New Hire Orientation
  • Partner with Executive Leadership on succession planning and identify training opportunities

Education and Qualifications :

  • PHR / SPHR or SHRM-CP preferred
  • Strong project management and prioritization capability and a drive to meet commitments and deadlines
  • Strong communication, facilitation and presentation skills. Proven relationship management, diplomacy and consultative abilities
  • Strong Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
  • Knowledge of LMS systems such as Cornerstone a plus
  • Some travel to regional locations is required


This position will solely manage the training and development needs of the organization with the support of the Vice President of Human Resources.
