SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team. As a staff accountant, you will play a crucial role in the financial operations of our organization. You will be responsible for maintaining financial records, performing general ledger reconciliations, and preparing financial reports. Your attention to detail and ability to work with large amounts of numerical data will ensure our financial transactions are accurately recorded and our financial statements are prepared in a timely manner. The ideal candidate for this position is a team player with solid accounting knowledge, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality.

LOCATION

Onsite at the HexArmor Headquarters in Grand Rapids, MI. This position is in an office environment (not work-from-home).

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform accounts payable functions including verifying expenses, obtaining appropriate invoice approvals, and ensuring timely accurate data entry
  • Generates daily, weekly, monthly operational reports and creates additional reports when needed
  • Assists with financial analysis, forecasts and planning process; makes recommendations to management regarding cost saving or profit generating opportunities and profitability improvement strategies
  • Assists with the month-end close and financial reporting process, prepares reconciliations, journal entries
  • Provides support for accounts receivable, specifically with regards to establishing and implementing a process to efficiently handle cash receipts from on-line sales and to support other cash collection activities as needed
  • All other finance related tasks assigned by management

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Advanced expertise in Excel

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance is required
  • 2-4 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
