A Day in the Life

This Project Coordinator III position is a key administrative role within the Surgical Research and Technology (R&T) organization at Medtronic. R&T supports all four businesses within the Surgical OU, including robotic surgery, advanced surgical instrumentation, general surgical therapies, and digital surgery technologies. R&T explores solutions that cross the boundaries between these groups to optimize outcomes for patients and deliver precise and predictable surgery.

This individual will be responsible for providing admin support for the VP of R&T and project coordination for the R&T team and multiple projects at varying levels of maturity. This is a pivotal role within R&T with influence on the team and entire Surgical business. We are looking for a seasoned, motivated, well-organized individual with extensive experience in project coordination and admin support. The job requires a flexible mindset, desire to learn, and excellent communication skills.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience

Nice to Have

  • 4 year college degree
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PPT)
  • Experience in executive admin support
  • Broad practical knowledge of operational systems and practices required to support an R&D team
  • Experience compiling budgets and creating reports
  • Experience with Resource First and entering and managing personnel resource requests for projects
  • Basic knowledge of initiating purchase requests and Pos
  • A continuous learner who adapts quickly and positively to change
  • An active listener and clear communicator

Working Conditions

Standard Office setting in the Seaport District of Boston, MA. Work within a commutable distance to our Boston/Seaport office with the option to work remotely a portion of the week, as business needs allow.

This position requires a person to be able to lift small loads and maneuver in laboratory spaces for accessing the surgical equipment when testing. Work travel is anticipated to be low/low-medium for this position; some travel may be required for design, collaboration, meetings, or debugging offsite.
