The Quantitative Biosciences Department at our Company's Research Laboratories is seeking a highly motivated Scientist to join our In-Vivo Pharmacology group at the Longwood Innovation Center in Boston. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing disease models, planning / designing and execution of in-vivo pharmacologic or mechanistic studies using disease models, collection / analysis of data, and report writing in support of research & development programs in immunology and oncology therapeutic areas.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Plan, design and execute in-vivo pharmacological experiments to support and advance drug discovery programs in immunology and oncology.
  • Characterize and optimize in vitro, ex vivo or in vivo assays at scale to support potential compound screening, biomarker identification and mechanism of action studies.
  • Run validation and research operating plan (ROP) assays for test articles with appropriate benchmarks.
  • Maintain timely, accurate laboratory records of activities & comply with good documentation practices.
  • Effectively collaborate with integrated teams in a matrix organization setting to facilitate the conduct of studies and to the success of discovery programs.

Education Minimum Requirements:

  • M.S. in pharmacology, immunology, biotechnology or biology, with 1+ years or B.S. with 3+ years of relevant in-vivo experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical/ biotechnology setting.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with in-vivo models – particularly related to autoimmune disease or tumor immunology.
  • Working knowledge using standard data analysis tools such as Graph Pad Prism, FlowJo, etc., and Microsoft programs.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to collate the results and make a presentation to the stakeholders.
  • The ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively with peers within and across departments is expected.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Experience in PK/PD models, autoimmune/tumor efficacy experience.
  • ELISA, Western blot, and flow cytometry and other immunological assay skills are desired.
