REPORTS TO: Principal Investigator

This role supports the principal investigator and team members in projects centered around neuroimaging, including data acquisition, processing, and analysis, while integrating advanced machine learning techniques. Responsibilities will be executed under the supervision of the principal investigator, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment that encourages high morale and teamwork to ensure timely project completion. The position necessitates cooperation with professionals from various disciplines, requiring exceptional interpersonal and technical skills to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform advanced neuroimaging data acquisition utilizing fMRI, DTI, and other imaging modalities.
  • Analyze and process extensive datasets employing cutting-edge computer vision and machine learning methodologies.
  • Collaborate with computer scientists, neuroscientists, and clinicians to design and execute innovative research experiments.
  • Publish findings in reputable journals and present research at academic conferences.
  • Provide mentorship to junior researchers, graduate students, and interns.
  • Prepare research documentation (manuscripts, reports, abstracts) and presentations for professional gatherings.
  • Engage in project planning and timeline management.
  • Contribute to the development of detailed work plans aligned with project timelines.
  • Participate in team and stakeholder meetings as required.
  • Assist in preparing data for comprehensive analysis.
  • Coordinate the preparation, submission, and renewal of Institutional Review Board (IRB) protocols.
  • Gather research materials for team meetings, utilizing statistical knowledge and clinical expertise.
  • Maintain project documentation, including regulatory binders and study files.
  • Create charts, tables, and graphs for final reports.
  • Support data management and security in accordance with established policies.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Doctoral degree (PhD, MD, DDS, or equivalent) is required.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in neuroimaging software (e.g., FSL, SPM, AFNI, Freesurfer) and programming languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB).
  • Demonstrated experience in computer vision and/or machine learning applications.
  • Willingness to learn additional software programs with appropriate training.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent writing and communication abilities.

Work Environment

This position operates within a professional office setting, utilizing standard office equipment such as computers and telecommunication devices.

Physical Demands

The physical requirements for this role include the ability to stand, walk, use hands, and reach with arms. The position may require occasional lifting of office supplies up to 20 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time role, with a standard work schedule from Monday to Friday.

No travel is anticipated for this position.
