POSITION TYPE: Salaried / Exempt

REPORTS TO: Principal Investigator

This role supports the principal investigator and the research team in projects focused on neuroimaging, including data acquisition, processing, and analysis, while integrating machine learning techniques. The individual will work under the supervision of the principal investigator, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment that promotes high morale and teamwork.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute advanced neuroimaging data acquisition utilizing fMRI, DTI, and other imaging modalities.
  • Analyze extensive datasets using cutting-edge computer vision and machine learning methodologies.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including computer scientists, neuroscientists, and clinicians, to design and conduct innovative experiments.
  • Publish research outcomes in reputable journals and present findings at academic conferences.
  • Guide and mentor junior researchers, graduate students, and interns.
  • Prepare research documentation, including manuscripts, reports, and presentations for professional gatherings.
  • Contribute to project planning and timeline management.
  • Assist in developing comprehensive work plans aligned with project timelines.
  • Engage in team and stakeholder meetings as required.
  • Support data preparation for analysis.
  • Facilitate the preparation, submission, and renewal of Institutional Review Board (IRB) protocols.
  • Gather research materials for team meetings and utilize statistical knowledge and clinical expertise during discussions.
  • Maintain project documentation, including regulatory binders and study files.
  • Create charts, tables, and graphs for final reports.
  • Assist in data management and ensure compliance with security policies.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Doctoral degree (PhD, MD, DDS, or equivalent) is required.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in neuroimaging software (e.g., FSL, SPM, AFNI, Freesurfer) and programming languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB).
  • Demonstrated experience in computer vision and/or machine learning applications.
  • Willingness to learn additional software tools as needed.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Ability to work autonomously or collaboratively within a team.
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills.

Work Environment

This position operates within a professional office setting, utilizing standard office equipment such as computers and telecommunication devices.

Physical Demands

The physical requirements of this role include standing, walking, using hands, and reaching with arms. The position may require occasional lifting of office supplies up to 20 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time role, with standard working hours from Monday to Friday.

Travel

No travel is anticipated for this position.
