React Full stack product development Senior Engineer/Lead (Remote Allowed)

Responsibilities:
  • As a UI product Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing user interfaces that provide an exceptional user experience.
  • Demonstrating pioneering open source technologies, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing and highly functional interfaces that meet the needs of our users.
  • Work with a team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices and full stack systems.
  • Perform software development on Front End Applications using a test-driven development pattern.
  • Own the technical design and development of multi-functional, multi-platform application systems.
  • Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends and standard processes in UI design and development, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, and mentoring other members of the engineering community.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to understand project requirements and translate them into user-friendly UI designs.
  • Use programming languages like JavaScript (React), HTML/CSS, TypeScript and Java, open source frameworks, RESTful web services, and work on cross-browser and cross-device development.
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure the quality and performance of the UI across various browsers and devices.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience.
  • 12+ years of experience in the following React, Typescript HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
  • 3+ years of experience with AWS.
  • 3+ years of experience in open source frameworks.
  • 5+ years of experience in Agile practices.
  • 6+ years of UI design principles and tools.
  • 6+ years of experience working on product development and in product company with product engineering mindset.
  • 4+ years in backend development (Good to have).
Salary and compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $100K – $200K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
