Senior Software Engineering Leader

Position Overview

We are in search of a seasoned Senior Software Engineering Leader to spearhead the development of financial products that will enhance CoStar's monetization strategy across various brands.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead cross-functional product development teams to deliver cutting-edge solutions for our clients while also serving as a mentor and coach.
2. Design, build, test, and deploy scalable, reusable, and maintainable applications capable of processing large datasets.
3. Assume full responsibility for your projects, from development and testing to deployment and ongoing support.
4. Collaborate effectively with other engineering teams, product managers, designers, and leadership.
5. Establish yourself as a trusted advisor in technical architecture, design, and coding practices.
6. Advocate for continuous improvement in both technical and non-technical aspects within teams, including new technologies, tools, and best practices.
7. Develop a comprehensive understanding of CoStar's business operations.

Basic Qualifications

- A minimum of 15 years of professional software development experience, focusing on large distributed, API-driven systems and leading agile teams.
- At least 5 years of experience in crafting solutions and technical architecture for complex systems.
- A minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity managing multiple scrum teams, development timelines, and product delivery.
- Extensive full-stack experience, particularly with C#, .NET Framework, React, Node, SQL, and data storage technologies.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences.
- Proven team-building, negotiation, and consensus-building skills.
- Ability to inspire and cultivate high-performance software development teams.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution is required.

Preferred Qualifications

- Practical experience in designing and implementing complex application architectures on cloud platforms.
- Experience in developing e-commerce systems with real-time payment processing and integrations.
- Familiarity with compliance standards such as SOX and PCI.
- Experience with testing frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, Mocha, and Chai.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies.
