Job Title: Senior Engineer - Design and Development

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer - Design and Development to join our team at Parker Hannifin Corporation Parker Aerospace Group. As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing, researching, designing, and testing component parts, processes, or systems to develop new and/or improve core products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development: Develop complex conceptual and detailed design specifications by analyzing product performance and customer requirements. Investigate design factors such as function, materials, performance, interchangeability, cost operational efficiency, and contractual requirements.
  • Product Development: Perform diverse and complex product development, modification, and evaluation of components, subsystems, and systems by applying engineering principles and developing new or unique analysis tools as required.
  • Testing and Validation: Apply scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure the outcome and consequence of design alternatives. Interpret and validate test results for accuracy and precision.
  • Project Management: Complete technical project elements as assigned. Develop critical data and analysis necessary to present technical product and/or system proposals to customers.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Contribute to the completion milestones associated with specific projects. Review product specifications and/or modifications to ensure clarity, completeness, form, fit, function, and conformity to standards and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience: 7-9 years of related experience. Hands-on product design experience ideally with precision machined parts and assemblies with tight tolerances and high levels of product reliability.
  • Skills and Abilities: Thorough in-depth knowledge of engineering domain principles, concepts, product standards, and techniques. Ability to apply broad knowledge of other related engineering areas to area of expertise.

Parker Hannifin Corporation Parker Aerospace Group offers a competitive salary range of $101,874 to $169,885, depending on prior experience, qualifications, and location.
