The City of Champions is hiring We are seeking our next Director of Human Resources upon the retirement of our current director.
The Director is responsible for the development and administration of the city's human resource functions, including recruitment, equal opportunity employment, labor relations, employee health benefits, training and the classification and compensation of positions as well as the administration of human resources policy and functions.
Preferred education and experience: bachelor's degree and five to seven years of work experience in the human resources field, preferably in a municipal setting, or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job. A master's degree and/or professional certification from a national personnel manager organization is desirable. Experience preferably in a municipal setting preferred.
This is a full-time benefited position. The salary begins at $127,680 (four annual steps). City Hall is open 8:30-4:30 Monday through Friday and this is not a remote/hybrid position.
Please be advised that this position is subject to Section 2-110 of the revised ordinances of the city of Brockton, which requires city employees to establish residency within Brockton within one year of hire.
