The regional Head of Finance Non Financial Risk leads a regional/country/entity team is responsible for ensuring effective management of Non-Financial Risks (NFR) for Finance across the region/country/entity. Non Finantial Risk (NFR) include (but are not limited to) Financial Reporting Risk (including relevant components of regulatory reporting risk), Regulatory Reporting Risk, Model Risk, Data Risk and People Risk. Key functions within the NFR team include Finance Control Office & Risk Oversight, SOX Governance, Finance Assurance and Targeted Transaction Testing.
The role holder is required to collaborate and manage relationships with internal and external key stakeholders, including Global Finance, regional/country/entity Audit Committee(s), Enterprise Risk Management, Internal Audit, External Auditors and regulators.

As our Head of Finance Non-Financial Risk (NFR) Management - (Region) you will:

Lead team in reviewing and reporting on key metrics, including impacts of external environment changes, emerging risks and changes to the business strategy. Leading the Finance Risk and Control Management Meeting ("RCMM") providing both support and challenge to Finance Risk Owners
Provide subject matter expertise, advice, guidance for execution of Risk and Control Assessments ("RCAs") and with setting appropriate Control Monitoring Plans ("CMPs")Ensure regional/country/entity team challenges and drives discussions with risk and control owners for risk assessment and risk mitigation strategies. This should include inherent risk, residual risk, control effectiveness ratings, issues, actions and eventsLead the delivery and management of all SOX activities in the region according to Global SOX framework (and local SOX framework where applicable), including scoping, execution of process walkthroughs, evaluation of issues, management attestations, and co-ordination with the external auditors. This will also include leading the SOX four-way meetings and managing the engagement with PwC on the SOX / control audits. Report and escalate to Group SOX for matters in relation to Group SOX compliance and through appropriate local governance for entity specific SOX complianceEstablish and lead regional regulatory reporting-focused targeted transaction testing (TTT) activitiesManage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including with the region/country/entity Finance Executive Committee (ExCo), Group Finance executives, Enterprise Risk Management, Internal Audit, Audit Committees, External Auditors and Regulators. Present relevant materials at Disclosure Committees, Audit Committee and other key governance meetingsDefine Risk Appetite Statements (RAS), monitor KPIs and KMIs, and obtain approval through local governanceReview of Account Reconciliation Completion Certificate (ARCC), supporting the development of actions for thematic issues and escalations to local management Be responsible to ensure procedures are up to date in the system of record / tool i.e. implement to Global Policy and Procedure System (GPPS tool) For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $134,500 and $201,800.

The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.
