Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, design, audit, communicate, and analyze compensation programs including but not limited to, job evaluations, market matching, annual salary review process, salary structure, and geographic differentials, etc.
  • Lead projects such as job leveling, survey participation and analysis, collect and analyze market data, maintain salary survey data and job description library, and additional projects that support the company's compensation strategies.
  • Own the evaluation and classification of positions to ensure internal equity, external market competitiveness, and alignment with our compensation philosophy.
  • Own and manage annual compensation processes such as merit base pay increases and short-term incentives. Ownership entails planning, data analytics, communication, education, and system configuration (Workday).
  • Lead compensation compliance through job evaluation, pay equity audits, and staying abreast of changes in legislation and industry standards.
  • Determine and evaluate competitive compensation and FLSA status for individual jobs and job families.
  • Provide support and training regarding compensation practices, policies, and guidelines.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on compensation topics and serve as a change and communications resource. Leverage in-depth business acumen to serve as a consultant to our business leaders and our HR Business Partners.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. An advanced degree or relevant certification (e.g., CCP, CBP, CEBS) is preferred.
  • 5 years applicable experience, with demonstratable experience in compensation systems and programs.
  • Experience engaging and interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience with Workday and Workday Advanced Compensation (bonuses and merit).
  • Experience establishing, developing, or enhancing a job architecture, variable pay plans, sales incentive plans.
  • Established knowledge of general compensation principles, practices and regulations.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability the think strategically.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • This role has significant flexibility to work remotely however candidates need to be local to the Twin Cities and should expect occasional time in the office, located in Roseville.
