Responsibilities

The Pathology Department of Wellstar Health System is looking for a board-eligible, board-certified AP/CP Pathologist. This provider will practice primarily at Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, GA and Cobb Hospital in Austell, GA. Scheduled coverage rotation time for frozen sections at Douglas Hospital, Paulding Hospital, and subsidiary surgical centers. The position involves general responsibilities in anatomic and clinical pathology with possibility for medical lab director duties. Ideal candidate will have at least three years of post-graduate experience. Recently trained pathologists will be considered. Subspecialty Pathology Fellowship experience and/or previous leadership/academic experience is preferred.

Wellstar Health System consists of nine not-for-profit hospitals located primarily in suburban Atlanta. The applicant must be BE/BC in anatomic and clinical pathology. Responsibilities include an interesting array of surgical cases, frozen section diagnoses, STAT non-gyn cytology evaluations, conferences, and laboratory consultations. Frozen section cases include breast and head and neck specimens. Ideal candidate will have an interest/experience in GI, breast, or head and neck pathology.

BE/BC Pathologist with Georgia Medical License

Prefer fellowship training

Prefer experience or special interest in breast, head and neck pathology, GI
