Applies a variety of standard and experimental finishes to both production and prototype machined parts in conformance with military specifications.
Ensures proper surface masking and preparations, mixing epoxies and solvents to appropriate ratios by weight, volume or viscosity, incorporating a knowledge of scales and weights and how substances interact.
Prepares the surfaces of parts, assemblies, and finished products by cleaning, stripping, abrading, sanding, masking and stenciling.Selects and mixes finishing materials:
coats and /or touches up product with such materials as paint, acrylic, varnish, enamel, lacquer, and stain using. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process control and procedures.
Works from blueprints and process sheets to develop finishing processes, applications and techniques where thickness tolerances are critical.Required Education, Experience, & Skills High School Diploma or GED and 1 year work experience.
Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range:
$ $72490

This range is based on our market pay structures.
However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to:
business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
