The Assistant Controller position at Concurrent Technologies Corporation will work closely with the accounting team and play a crucial role in supporting the Controller with timely, relevant financial data necessary for budgetary and financial decisions.

This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership) with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in overseeing the operations of the Accounting Department, which include accounts payable, accounts receivable, expense reports, financial reporting, government contract accounting, and payroll.
  • Assist with compliance for local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Assist with the maintenance of internal controls and safeguards for the Company's accounting transactions, assets, and operations.
  • Assist with the maintenance of and adherence to documented accounting policies and procedures.
  • Assist in development, analysis, and communication of internal monthly financial statements on a timely basis.
  • Assist the Controller with staff supervision and problem solving.
  • Perform special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis as assigned by the CFO and Controller
  • Coordinate and/or assist with both external independent audit and government audits and prepare required items in a timely manner.
  • Oversee the activities associated with the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal monthly financial statements and annual audits.
  • Research and apply technical accounting to ensure compliance with GAAP and Cost Accounting Standards.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement.
  • Perform work under limited supervision requiring the need to exercise independent judgement and discretion on a regular or frequent basis.
  • Identify, research, and resolve corporate accounting, auditing, and operational issues.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or other related field.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of corporate accounting experience. Prefer minimum if three (3) years of experience in government contracting.
  • Experience required in Government Contracts and cost accounting in the following types of contracts: Cost Reimbursement, IDIQ, Competitive, CPFF, CPAF, Firm-Fixed Price.
  • Thorough knowledge of GAAP and Cost Accounting Standards.

  • Experience with Government Contracting, FAR regulations, and Cost Accounting Standards.
  • Experience with developing and allocating G&A and overhead rates.
  • Experience in using Deltek Costpoint.
  • Proven track record in accounting operations and process improvement.
